ACCIONA Energy is a world leader in the development, construction, operation and maintenance of wind farms, with more than 20 years’ experience in the sector.
Our business model is characterized by being present through the wind power value chain, from the resource assessment, through the development of facilities, financial analysis or the management of turnkey projects, to the operation and maintenance of wind farms and the sale of energy or the management of operations relating to emissions trading. We also developed in-house wind turbine technology through ACCIONA Windpower, which has been purchased by the German company Nordex while ACCIONA has become Nordex’s main shareholder.
We have installed close to 8,000 MW of wind power capacity for ourselves. It generates around 80% of our renewables-based production.
We have also constructed almost 1,900 MW for other customers, strenthening our expertise on wind power solutions adapted to every project.
